Currently, due to limited capacity, we only serve nonprofit clients. If you are a small business, please check out the following resources. While the Small Business Administration (SBA) is well known for its small business loans, the SBA also provides grant funding. Please click here for more information on SBA programs and services, including grants. In addition, the Foundation Directory Online (FDO) has grants for individuals. Most of this funding is for researchers, artists, and students. However, Candid is a reputable organization and will provide you with more than 10,000 funder profiles, access to open Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and funder financial data. Candid is a paid service, and at the time of this blog post, the Grants to Individuals plan was $99.95 per month, billed annually or $19.95 per month. You can find out more information about Grants to Individuals by clicking here. The DGC team is not affiliated, and we do not receive any affiliate commission for recommending Candid. Candid formerly Foundation Directory Online is just one of the best services we have found in our many years of work in the nonprofit sector.

Small businesses can also find federal grant funding, primarily for scientific research and clinical trials, on grants.gov through Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. These grants are beyond competitive and often go to researchers working on the development and commercialization of new pharmaceuticals, medical devices, software, etc. To learn more about the STTR and SBIR programs, please click here.
